How to use ParkBean to find parking in Hong Kong

ParkBean (泊邊豆) is a free map-based parking finder for Hong Kong. Instead of opening several operator websites or guessing which side street has a meter, you search once and see car parks and on-street meters near your destination, with indicative hourly prices where we have them.

The site is built for mobile drivers: large tap targets, quick return to the map, and one-tap links to Google Maps, Waze, or Amap for turn-by-turn navigation. You do not need an account to search or view details.

On the home page, type an address, building name, or district (for example “Kai Tak” or “Central”). ParkBean geocodes your query and centres the map on that location, then lists the nearest parking options within the search radius.

If you already know the rough spot, use Drop pin on the map. Move the map until the pin sits where you want to park, then run the search. This is useful for restaurants or friends’ buildings that do not geocode cleanly.

Use Locate me when you are on the road and want options around your current position. Your browser will ask for location permission; we only use it for that search session.

Vehicle type changes which price bands you see. Private car is the default; switch to motorcycle or light goods if that is what you drive—some estates publish separate tariffs.

Street meters can be hidden by default because there are thousands of poles across Hong Kong. Turn on Show street meters when you are happy to park at a meter and want to see $/15 min style charges on the map.

Show without price includes sites where we have location but no reliable rate yet. Leave it off if you only want places with a displayed hourly estimate.

Tap any result to open its detail page. You will see address, operator type (government estate, shopping mall, MTR, etc.), height limit, payment methods, facilities such as EV chargers, and a breakdown of hourly, day, and night bands where available.

Rates are compiled from open data and community reports. They can change without notice—always confirm on site or on the operator’s signage before you rely on a figure for budgeting.

Use Report incorrect price on a detail page if something looks wrong. Verified reports improve the dataset for everyone and count toward our contributor leaderboard.

From Parking by district in the footer you can open any of Hong Kong’s 18 districts, see how many car parks we list there, and jump straight into a map search centred on that area. This is handy when you know the neighbourhood but not the exact street.
